Once on the island, you may want to sample the local produce: honey, herbed olives, sheep's cheese. The Barhanović family's tasting cellar (500 m from the ferry port exit) is a good place to get acquainted with Dalmatian wine culture. Their organic wine, dark ruby red with high alcohol extract, is called Dragon's Cave, because the vineyard is located near a cave(špilje) on the outskirts of Murvica. For a gourmet welcome, a tour of the cellars, an explanation of the craftsmanship involved, etc., it's best to book ahead.
