CHÂTEAU-ROCHER
Château-Rocher to watch over the Sioule river against the bridge of Menat from its belvedere between Menat and Blot-l'Eglise.
From its vantage point between Menat and Blot-l'Eglise, the Château-Rocher watches over the Sioule River above the Menat bridge. Time has taken its toll on the château, its stones having been used to build houses in the surrounding area. Its last owner had it listed as a historic monument in 1913. Since then, lovers of Château-Rocher and this magical place have been working to bring the imposing silhouette back to life. With the help of Stéphane Bern and his Heritage Lotto, the first phase of the redevelopment is now complete, and visitors have regained access to part of the building.
