ST. JEROME'S MONASTERY
Monastery with ruins of thermal baths nearby offering a pleasant walk to visit the church to the peninsula.
Found in the foundations of the monastery, the stones of the ancient theater recall the occupation of the site by the Greeks (4th century BC). The ruins of the baths also prove it. The Franciscans settled there at the beginning of the 16th century and built a chapel and the outhouses. The church with its Venetian-style bell tower is later and is in the Baroque style. Only the church can be visited but the walk to the peninsula is pleasant. It can be combined with a walk to the fort of St. George and a swimming break (Prirovo beach).
