CAVE ROYET
Catherine and Roland Royet created their estate in 1991 in Ménétrol (they have since opened another estate in Burgundy). For the past twenty-seven years, the couple has therefore settled in the heart of the Chateaugay vineyard to offer a "volcanic" wine with a strong and original character. This vineyard benefits from a unique micro-climate in Auvergne, thanks to its location. Certified organic, the Cave Royet offers the Blanc Bourassol, both dry and fruity, with citrus notes, the Rouge Les Côteaux, a strong volcanic "terroir" with pronounced spicy accents, and the Rouge Vieilles Vignes made from century-old Gamay vines and 30% Pinot Noir. Hard work for these enthusiasts, rewarded by a new appellation, the AOC Côtes d'Auvergne!
