When you enter through the main gate of the historic city, take the second street on the left to find the tavern, between the ramparts and the old facades. Its terrace is a pleasant setting to enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner. The menu offers appetizers and antipasti (grilled vegetables, tapenades, olives, cheeses and smoked ham, marinated sardines...) but also fresh pasta, fish, vegetarian dishes, good desserts, all of which are served with regional wines. Reservations are recommended in summer.

The service was absolutely fantastic - warm and friendly, but not disruptive.
We started with the bruschetta with rocket and walnut pesto, which was delicious; the slight nuttiness of the pesto was balanced with sweet tomatoes and spicy rocket, and the bread was fresh and flavourful.
I then had the aubergine rolls for my main - what an incredible dish. Smoky, with crispy edges, stuffed with goat cheese and topped with a rich, flavourful tomato sauce, parmesan, and fresh basil - absolutely superb. Fresh bread with fennel seeds soaked up the extra sauce. I had the smoked ham added to the dish, but the default is vegetarian. The menu as a whole has a great variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes, which are clearly labelled.
My partner had the pasta with meat sauce, which he said was fantastic.
We finished with the carob cake with orange marmalade, and the amaretto cake with cream and pomegranate seeds, both of which were rich and flavourful and not overly sweet. I also had two glasses of an excellent Croatian wine.
Fantastic atmosphere as well, right on the water, down a lovely little alley in Korcula Town.
Three courses, plus drinks, for two, was €86.
