When you enter through the main gate of the historic city, take the second street on the left to find the tavern, between the ramparts and the old facades. Its terrace is a pleasant setting to enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner. The menu offers appetizers and antipasti (grilled vegetables, tapenades, olives, cheeses and smoked ham, marinated sardines...) but also fresh pasta, fish, vegetarian dishes, good desserts, all of which are served with regional wines. Reservations are recommended in summer.

Our group shared some starters, main dishes and desserts plus the house wine, it came to a bargain €35 each for absolutely delicious food. can’t recommend them enough.

Just wow. We were lucky to score a table for two as almost all were reserved by the time we arrived at 7:30pm. From the lovely and light hearted service to the actual local ingredients and taste of the meals - this restaurant is outstanding and was one of the most memorable meals in Croatia. Their daily special menu octopus buzara was incredible, make sure to order the home made bread to scoop up the leftover tomato paste. House wine was lovely and paired well with all the dishes. The place was packed by 8:30pm, string lights and sound of the sea near by made for a very atmospheric dinner.

Most amazing food, great dessert, very good house wine, the waiter was super nice and helpful. Also place and garden was cozy and good looking - if you visit Korcula you must visit this place! :)

Located right where the cruise ships dock, Aterina offered beautiful ambience in addition to the farm-to-table proposition. The food fell slightly short of expectations. The Fig Bruschetta was exceptional, however, both for concept and execution. But the Pesto Pasta was a little boring, as simply a plate of (homemade) penne pasta in pesto sauce. And the "Prawns" Buzara" were really small shrimp, served in a good tomato sauce but with shells and heads on. We were told that Croatians simply remove the heads and eat the shrimp w shells on. That didn't work for us. Ththe table. (Pasta w meat & homemade pasta) was quite good. Overall, the sauces were excellent, but the dishes that were authentic were nearly too authentic for a high tourist traffic area, in my opinion.

We ended up with a relatively modest bill with just main dishes, no sides, and just one 750 ML of carbonated water for thevtable.
