A tower called a truncated cone torjun with World War II memorial plaques that served to protect the governor's palace.
Impossible to miss it: it is the large tower in the shape of a truncated cone that overlooks the port. Built in 1483, it was used to protect the governor's palace. In the 15th century, the soldiers who lived there were in charge of its defense. Today, the torjun, as the people of Korčula call it, displays several commemorative plaques from the Second World War. The Venetian lion on the tower, however, was destroyed during the same war.
