Tower dating from 1815 located on a hill overlooking Korčula offering a splendid view of the Pelješac Channel.
Otherwise known as "Fort Wellington", the Forteca tower was built in 1815 by the English government. It is located on a hill overlooking the city and in a place where there used to be a Venetian fortification dating back to 1616. To get there, you have to walk about 20 minutes from the old town, following the small paths that go up under the trees. From the tower you have a beautiful view of the Pelješac channel.
