MARCO POLO CENTER (MARKO POLO CENTAR)
Late Gothic building near a square tower, with a loggia-belvedere, which would be the house of the navigator Marco Polo.
Since summer 2023, the controversial "Marco Polo House" (actually a building constructed two centuries after the traveler's death) has been transformed into a research and exhibition center dedicated to the 13th century, the great voyages to Asia and the Battle of Korčula in 1298. The multi-storey exhibition retraces the situation of Europe in the Middle Ages, using maps and interactive screens. The turret offers a beautiful view over the rooftops and the sea.
