MUSEUM OF RELIGIOUS ART
Museum of religious art with a collection of Renaissance paintings, ancient manuscripts and ceremonial costumes.
The bishopric of Korčula was founded in 1300. On the basis of the first building, the bishop's palace was gradually expanded. The most important works took place during the episcopate of Franjo Manola (1643-1664). It was then that the large balcony was built. From 1868 onwards, the palace was abandoned and then demolished and rebuilt. Parts of the old palace were reused in the present building, where the cathedral's treasures, a rich collection of Renaissance paintings, old manuscripts and ceremonial costumes are displayed.
