I recently had a lovely lunch at Above 5 restaurants, which I had heard was known for its beautiful rooftop views. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food they serve is also exceptional. The dishes are well prepared and exquisitely presented, like works of art. I started with the Chilli Prawns appetizer and then had the Lobster with homemade pasta as my main course. For dessert, I enjoyed a Pavlova with raspberry sorbet, mascarpone cream, blueberries, red currant, and pistachios. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the stunning views from the rooftop. I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future. The staff here is undoubtedly attentive and courteous, ensuring that all your needs are taken care of with the utmost care and consideration.

Appalling customer service - ended up walking out due to not wanting to upset the other 4 customers who were there at the same time. No flexibility at all and a very unclear menu where you can’t have a €65 burger at 18:15. “ I will have to call the owner to see if I can do that “ is not the type of customer service culture I’m used to. It was at this point that I knew they could keep my €100 deposit.

Edited - if your head waiter MARO had made it clear that he was actually in a position to help me I would’ve quite happily of stuck around - the sentiment was anything but that…… he genuinely said he was going to have to make a telephone call to the restaurant owner to see if he could please a guest…… this is not the type of establishment I want to exchange custom with. Hopefully the 100 euro you retained covered the drinks.

We loved this restaurant from the moment we arrived. It offers a three and five course tasting menu. We selected the three course and it was excellent. Service was superb from Maro who assisted us in the selection of our dishes. The dishes are well presented and top quality products. The terrace offers an intimate setting and stunning views. Great ambience and atmosphere especially during the sunset. Definitely recommended.

My recent experience with this restaurant left me with mixed feelings. I had a reservation that I had to cancel at the last minute due to my wife's unexpected illness. While I completely understand and respect their cancellation policy, I reached out to them, explaining our unique situation, and kindly requested a manual refund as a gesture of goodwill.

Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved 1 month later despite having a nice conversation with them where they explained that their system couldn't handle such a refund. Unfortunately, they could have worked out a manual refund but I didn't hear back from them since my last call. Their willingness to consider exceptional circumstances was disappointing, to say the least.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, having heard great things about their service and reputation. However, this experience left me questioning their commitment to customer service in challenging situations.

I believe that how a business handles unexpected circumstances can significantly impact a customer's perception. In this instance, the opportunity for a compassionate response was missed, and it's a missed opportunity for them to showcase their understanding and flexibility.

Wow! What a beautiful experience. We went to dinner starting at 6:20PM which allowed us a window to enjoy until 8:50PM (perfect for sunset). The staff was so lovely. They were kind and we enjoyed getting to know a little more about them in between meals. The food was also truly one of a kinda and pieces of art. Even down to the "starters" that the house provides: bread with an herb butter & miso butter and a tuna bite. Simply YUM!

For the main meal I had the:
• Entrée: Pigeon Breast - lovely starter that was wonderful. The use of basil olive oil and soy reduction was delicious. Would recommend for those who like Asian cuisine.

• Main: Beef Tenderloin - was nice and perfectly cooked. The veggies on mine were mushrooms and eggplant. The meat was soft and tender.

-- between these we were served a pallet cleanser of watermelon sorbet on a soft bed of sugar. This was a lovely treat and refreshing, but did not overpower the dessert course that was to come.

•Dessert: Pavlova - again a nice, light and refreshing way to end the evening. The fruit was a nice paring to accompany the cream and meringue (both small and larger pieces). The raspberry sorbet was full of flavor.

Overall we enjoyed our experience and would recommend especially for a special occasion visit to Debrovnik!

I received a gift voucher from my dear friend as a gift, which I could use in the value of 100 EUR for dinner in a restaurant, but when I went to pay the bill, the restaurant management did not want to accept the gift voucher because they "couldn't recognize it as theirs" that I was really disappointed, but I still wanted to have dinner there, so I paid for the dinner without looking back at that very bad detail, as for the food, I can say that it was very, very tasty, although the portions were very small, the bread that was brought to the table was supposedly it was local, although it didn't impress me that way, but the best value for money in that restaurant is the service! The waiter Maro was phenomenal, very professional, unobtrusive but at the same time always available whenever we needed and extremely nice and professional, so all in all it wasn't bad, the dessert blew us away!

Cute rooftop overviewing the old town with absolutely delicious food and service.
Set menu concept, they have 3 or 5 courses menu.
Be aware its in the 5th floor with no elevator

We had an amazing experience! The tasting menu was incredible, with unique and delicious flavors that left us wanting more. The dessert with mango was an absolute standout; we still can't stop thinking about it!

The service was exceptional—elegant, professional, and friendly. The staff made us feel truly welcomed and pampered. And the icing on the cake was the breathtaking view during sunset, adding an extra touch of charm to our meal.

Although it was on the expensive side, the overall experience was amazing. Worth the splurge!

Excellent experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were great and the view makes for a very cool way to experience old town. What really sold the experience for us was the bartender/cocktails. He is a true mixologist and has a bright future in his craft. Try all the menu drinks or ask for a cocktail that pairs with a course, he'll impress you either way.

Had breakfast and dinner here and it was excellent. Very friendly knowledgeable staff who were very helpful. Food was really tasty and well presented with a range of local produce available. The view of the old town is really rather great with 360 views of the city from above, a rare treat given the lack of roof top bars in Dubrovnik.
