Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in the heights of Bosanka (near Mount Srđ), a good restaurant with a large peasant terrace.
About ten kilometres up on the heights of Dubrovnik, on the southern riviera, before Kupari, a small road climbs up to the village of Bosanka near Mount Srđ. It's hard to get there without a car or taxi. This restaurant, which looks like a large farm, offers authentic local cuisine, cooked under the ashes of the peka (a large bell under which the meat, often lamb, is simmered for nearly two hours with its vegetables). You can wait with the house grappa (in moderation) or sheep's cheese and a glass of regional wine, a soup or a salad.
