GRAND VILLA ARGENTINA * * * * *
A hotel with 165 rooms, most of them overlooking the Adriatic. The decor is hushed and the service is up to par. Impeccable!
One of the great advantages of this hotel is the breathtaking view of the old town from most of the rooms and from the restaurant terrace. The three villas surrounding the hotel are classified as historical monuments by the city of Dubrovnik. They are attached to the hotel and are among the best offers in the area with outdoor pool (sea water), indoor pool (fresh water). An elegant luxury hotel complex. Direct access to the private beach and the sea down the stairs. Parking not included.

The staff were super useful - they will help you with your luggage, offer you tea/coffee at breakfast and help you with anything you may need. They even helped us contact our transfer when he was late to pick us up on our last day.
The room was fantastic, it was spacious with great air conditioning and an upmarket feel. The tap water is also fine to drink, saving you a lot of money on bottled water. You can also fill up at breakfast if you need.
The amenaties were great. In particular, we really enjoyed sitting by the pool and relaxing. As a bonus, the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the beautiful old town (although you do have to pay a 'city tax' when you leave but it's well worth it).
Overall, we believe that Grand Villa Argentina has the makings of a 5 star hotel. We loved our time there and would highly recommend it.
