HÔTEL KAZBEK
The castle is located in the bay of Lapad and has 13 well-equipped and comfortable rooms with a pleasant swimming pool.
This castle is distinguished by its elegance. It is located in the bay of Lapad, 3 km from the old town. The history of the Kazbek Hotel is rich and complex. Built in 1573 by the Zamanje family, it became their summer residence. It was burnt down during the Second World War. Completely renovated in 2008, it has regained its former prestige and now has 13 well-equipped and comfortable rooms, a pleasant swimming pool with deckchairs, a reading area, a restaurant offering regional cuisine... Very good welcome.

It’s location is plagued at the moment by massive works right outside building a new road and port. So peaceful mornings and afternoons there are not at the moment and access is difficult as you have to dodge cement mixers and works related diggers and stuff. You will need to bring a sturdy pair of shoes/boots to deal with the terrain right outside the hotel covered in mud from the works.
The location is also in my opinion not ideal for a short statin Dubrovnik. It’s a 20€ taxi or 45 min walk to the main event - the old town. I had stayed there based on a recommendation and it was a good place but if you are going to Dubrovnik in 2023 I would look at a place much nearer the old town/ in the future post the works it may be worth considering again but in our stay at the end of day to come back to the hotel and have to battle with a crane really is not fun!
