DUBROVNIK CATHEDRAL (KATEDRALE)
Baroque cathedral with the relics of St. Blaise and paintings by masters, including a painting by Titian.
In the 12th century, the first Romanesque building was financed by Richard the Lionheart, who was grateful for having escaped a shipwreck on the island of Lokrum. The cathedral was destroyed by an earthquake, then rebuilt in Baroque style between 1671 and 1713. Inside, you'll find several master paintings, including one by Titian (behind the altar) depicting the Assumption, as well as a sacred treasure containing the relics of St. Blaise, the city's patron saint.

Edifice à la fois austère et prétentieux dans sa décoration, il ne laisse pas un souvenir inoubliable.
