Fort of 37 m height built outside the walls, place of spectacles during the summer festival in Dubrovnik.
The highest point in the old town, Fort Saint Laurent (Lovrijenac), outside the city walls, was built (according to legend) in just three months in the 11th century. The 37-metre-high fortress offers magnificent views. Shows are staged here as part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The entrance bears the famous Ragusan motto: "Non Bene Pro Toto Libertas Venditur Auro" (Freedom cannot be sold, even for all the gold in the world).

Prix compris dans le billet des remparts. La vue sur Dubrovnik est imprenable depuis ce fort. Petit plus: saurez-vous trouver le graffiti laissé par un soldat de Napoléon en 1810?

Attention ne pas oublier que l'entrée du fort est compris avec le billet des remparts, sinon sur la partie haute du fort vous pourrez jouir d'une superbe vue sur le vieux Dubrovnik, les remparts et ses alentours, plusieurs niveaux à visiter, vraiment très beau.
