TOWN HALL AND MARINE THEATRE DRŽIĆ
City council seat from 1303 with the destroyed arsenal in the back and the Marin Držrić Theater on its foundation.
The seat of the municipal council was built in 1303, destroyed by fire in 1817, and rebuilt in 1864 in a neo-Renaissance style. At the back was the arsenal where the ships of the Ragusan fleet were stored. It was almost completely destroyed in 1863. On its foundations, the Marin Držrić Theatre (Croatian playwright) was built, of which only the terrace and arcades facing the harbour remain. Here you can have a drink and enjoy the spectacle of the street.
