Built in 1438, this imposing round fountain now drinks visitors. A true symbol of the city!

Named after her Croatian name, Velika Onofrijeva Cesma, this large fountain is a perfect 16-sided polygon, built by Onofrio della Cava in 1441, in the classical style of Italian Renaissance architecture. Situated at the entrance to the old town, it remains today an inexhaustible source of refreshing water, thanks to a 14 km long aqueduct that carries spring water from the Mount Srđ. An unmissable witness to Dubrovnik's past, this fountain still attracts troubadours.
