Museum dedicated to modern art in all its forms exhibiting works of Croatian artists, including those of the painter Vlaho Bukovac.
Outside the old town, housed in the superb Banac seaside palace, this museum was built between 1935 and 1939. It is in the style of large historic villas. Dedicated to modern art in all its forms and particularly to Croatian artists, the permanent collection brings together some 2,200 pieces (paintings, sculptures, etc.), including several works by Vlaho Bukovac, a painter from the early 20th century, a native of Cavtat. Temporary exhibitions as well.
