Natural botanical garden, originally that of Maximilian of Habsburg, consisting of many plant species.
A natural botanical garden whose origin is none other than the garden of Maximilian of Habsburg. It became a scientific institution in 1959, where the adaptation of tropical and subtropical plants to the Mediterranean climate was studied. To date, there are 800 species, including many cacti and palm trees. There are even trees planted more than three centuries ago! Don't miss the walk to the large reservoir which includes the Benedictine olive grove.
