A large complex with terraced architecture with direct access to the beach and comfortable rooms.

A 15-minute bus ride from Dubrovnik (no. 10), this large hotel complex has retained an aesthetic dimension, set deep into the hillside, in its terraced architecture. With direct access to the beach, the main building in white concrete opens onto a large reception hall all in glass, wood and metal structure. Comfortable rooms with balcony and view on the bay, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, solarium. Apartments and mobile homes and a beach bar-restaurant complete the complex, giving the idea of a new luxury holiday village.

There's so much going on wrong in this hotel, I don't even know where to start.
We asked for a big room and we were surprised to get - two small rooms, that are connected with double doors. So basically we did get the space, but we couldn't effectively use it. Rooms are so small that, when those doors are open, you can't go around, rooms are blocked. There is empty space in both rooms where small fridges use to be placed, but were removed, we don't know why. We can only assume that it is a part of the hotel strategy to prevent customers to keep food inside, and to have to spend more in the hotel. So, people like us that just wanted to preserve kid's medicine were unable to do so. Ventilation in the bathroom is super-loud, and if our toddler was asleep, we couldn't use the bathroom - you can't turn on just light, ventilation is started automatically. Showers are flooding the bathroom floors and there's nothing we could do about it.
On the other hand, rooms are cleaned regularly and cleaning staff is very friendly.
Breakfast is unbelievably basic and cheap, eggs, cheese, some pastrami, some grilled vegetables. They do rotate "some" food on the menu, but nothing is really high quality, it's just to keep you alive. I'm no snob here :D just there's nothing to enjoy really during breakfast, except, again, very friendly staff.
Pools. Oh, Lord, the pools. Guests go down to the pool and "reserve" the sunbed by putting the towel on it. There's no control whether those guests are actually staying in the hotel, and whether they will show up - sunbeds and umbrellas are free at the poolside and there's like enough for 20% of the hotel capacity. So if you get to the pool at 9AM it's way too late to find a free sunbed, so you can only go down to the beach and pay for bed and umbrella. More about control: we saw a kid openly doing standing No1 to the kids pool. We were in shock, but there's nobody to do anything about it, to prevent it or at least talk to parents.
Location is great! You are close to the beaches and restaurants, and children's playground is like 5-10 mins walk.
Again, people that work in the hotel are great! Every single one of them (that we talked to) are friendly and communicative, pleasant to talk to. I don't hold absolutely anything against them, only against people in the management running hotel, it's very obvious that they go for charging expensively for very cheap service. We assume that the real cost of our stay in this hotel is at least 5 times lower than what we paid for.

Das Hotel liegt 5 min vom verschmutzten Strand entfernt. Liege und Schirm pro Tag
16€.
