CROATINO
Under its stone vaults, this Ali Baba's cave opened in 2008, a stone's throw from the port and Villa Andro, is unrivalled in the city for finding souvenirs (admittedly a little kitschy) or gifts from the Konavle. The region is particularly known in Croatia for its embroidery, traditionally made with silk thread and with symmetrical decoration (motifs accentuated with red, black or dark green with yellow tassels). Typical products include homemade liqueurs, dried fruit and of course wine (a good one to take home is Crvik).
