COLLECTION BOGIŠIĆ (ZBIRKA BALTAZARA BOGIŠIĆ)
Palace presenting a collection of Baltazar Bogišić, including rare books and archival documents, painting and tableware.
Built in the sixteenth century, the palace houses the main part of the collection of Baltazar Bogišić, which depends on the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. Bequeathed by this jurist and scientist (born in Cavtat), of European fame, the exhibition shows rare books, archival documents, paintings and fine tableware.
Next door, the disused St. Nicholas Church houses an enormous private collection of shells from around the world. Two interesting visits.
