When you're in Zagreb, you've got to try štruk! It's available in a few restaurants in town, but it's all you can eat here! This local specialty is a kind of lasagne or gratin dauphinois, served with vegetables, cheese, cream or pasta, all baked in the oven. In the end, it's easy to eat the same thing - but only in appearance, since everyone can choose their own toppings. A sweet version of this dish is also available. The štrukli (or štrudla ) with apples and cinnamon, served directly inspired by the GermanApfelstrudel.
