NATIONAL THEATRE (HRVATSKO NARODNO KAZALIST)
Croatian National Theater organizing plays, music and classical and/or contemporary dance.
The Croatian National Theatre, also known as the Zagreb Opera House, stands like a palace. It was built in 1894 by two Viennese architects, Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, at a time when the city authorities were betting on the extension of the lower town to the south. It is a venue for theatre, music and classical and/or contemporary dance. In front of the monument stand two symbolic sculptures by Meštrović: The Source of Life and The History of the Croats.
