In the modern city, this museum was founded in 1954, at the height of the collectivist era. The building, all concrete and glass, is soothing inside, with its large, light-filled spaces. Staircases, elevators and footbridges lead to rooms where the full range of Croatian, modern and contemporary creative energy is on display, from the 1950s to the present day. Pleasant museum café and interesting store. Worth a visit, and open on Sundays!
