BOTANICKI VRT (BOTANICAL GARDEN)
English and Asian garden with a Japanese pavilion and various plants in a park in Zagreb with two artificial lakes.
Located near the main railway station, the Zagreb Botanical Garden was created in 1889 by Antun Heinz in the spirit of an English and "Asian" garden, with its Japanese pavilion and thousand of different plants. It will appeal as much to plant enthusiasts as to visitors looking for a summer break. You can book a guide (€10 per person), treat yourself to a plant in spring, adopt a tree or invest in an engraved plaque. A beautiful place well worth a visit.
