PARC ZRINJEVAC
Romantic park in Zagreb with bandstands, fountains and busts of Croatian historical figures.
This large, open park owes its name to Croatian viceroy Nikola Šubić Zrinski. Of the capital's eight parks, it was the first to be laid out in the 19th century. This romantic park becomes green and flowery in spring and summer, covered with yellowing leaves in autumn and snow-white in winter. Surrounded by prestigious museums, art galleries and elegant sidewalk cafés, it is dotted with bandstands, fountains and busts of Croatian historical figures. It's also a busy open-air scene in summer.
