A 40-minute bus and streetcar ride from Zagreb, this hotel on the edge of Medvednica Park is the most comfortable in the area. It was built in the shape of a Y in the 1930s by architect Stephen Planina. Today, the Tomislavov Dom offers standard rooms, plus apartments for 2 to 6 people in a separate building. Guests have access to the fitness center and indoor swimming pool, and can dine in the restaurant. In winter, it's also a good base for a ski holiday.
