Before or after visiting the municipal museum in the fortress, you should enter this palace to discover a formidable entomological collection. Franjo Košćec, the first curator, began collecting insects in 1954. Since then, the collection has grown steadily to become one of the most representative of its kind in Europe. Thousands of species are divided up according to their biological environment: near and in the forest, in the meadow, near and in the water, at night, underground... this whole microcosm is sure to interest the whole family.
