NEANDERTHAL MAN MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting human bones found during the excavation of a cave, fragments of animal bones and everyday objects.
The discovery made by Dragutin Gorjanović-Kramberger and his team was a milestone in paleontology. Buried in various cave sediments, almost 900 human bones were excavated. The researchers also collected fragments of animal bones and everyday objects. In a museum opened in 2010, a prehistoric habitat has been reconstructed to help visitors imagine what life was like for our ancestors. Outside, an educational trail takes visitors to the site of the original discovery.
