HÔTEL WALDINGER * * * *
Large 4-star historic hotel-café-bar-lounge-restaurant in Osijek with classic decor and modern comfort.
A great historical hotel with a good location in the heart of the city in a beautiful Secession style building. It is decorated inside with antique furniture and paintings on the walls. The style takes us back to the past (beginning of the 19th century) with classic decor and modern comfort. The large and quiet rooms are well equipped (TV, free Wifi connection, bathroom...). Some have a sitting area and a whirlpool bath. With its café lounge and its restaurant (serving semi-gastronomic dishes), the 4-star status is deserved.

Hrana savrsena, svaka cast teti Milki (glavna kuharica) ????
????????♂️????
I found that there was a problem with my window shutter, and initially, when I told them, they were very kind, offered me tape, and to fix it the next day. When they couldn't fix it in time, they gladly changed my room.
Then I was ambushed later that day with accusations that I broke the very cheap parchment on purpose, and that I had to pay 200-250 Euros to repair it, which it could probably not cost more than 10-15 Euros.
Regardless, I was trying to figure out a solution, but they were very aggressive and kept barging in and out. I kept my cool but before I knew it the POLICE were there.
My local friends were able to explain to the police how ridiculous they they were being. Eventually, we left the hotel earlier than my checkout date and unfortunately paid their 200 Euros to avoid trouble; there was police involved after all, and I didn't want an international incident.
