Opened on the eve of the Olympic Games, the suburban or "Proastiakos" now connects the airport with the city centre and Piraeus, as well as the Peloponnese in the west and Evia in the east of the country. This line will therefore serve you both to reach the city centre or to take a boat to Piraeus or to escape immediately to other areas such as the city of Corinth (Kiato) in the Peloponnese or Chalkida in Evia.
