Good value tavern in Athens offering Cretan cuisine.

Established since 2005 and very recently restored, this tavern brings all the flavors and philosophy of Cretan cuisine to your plate. All the raw materials are carefully chosen and come from small farmers of Crete. Typical recipes such as Cretan snails are home-made. It's the perfect place to try the Cretan diet without restraint, especially on Wednesday and Friday evenings when you can enjoy live music in addition to the good food. Good value for money.

I have to say that there are only a few times giving such low score, but my expectations for eating good Cretan food were not realized! Kaltsounia were very good, but some of the plates we ordered were smelling rather bad! The service was excellent though & I have to admit that the owner acknowledged the plates we had to return and did not charge us them ! Hope it was a bad day, but I cannot definitely recommend it!

Πήγαμε Σάββατο μεσημέρι, τα μανιτάρια στα σχάρα ήταν άψητα, οι σαλάτες ήταν μπαγιάτικες, τα ψητά λαχανικά ήταν καμμένα από την μια πλευρά ωμά από την άλλη, στο κριθαράκι με τα θαλασσινά το κρεμμύδι ήταν σχεδόν ολόκληρο και άψητο.
Ενημερώσαμε για τις αστοχίες το σέρβις, όπου να σημειώσω ήταν ένας άνθρωπος μόνος του, μας ενημέρωσε ευγενικά πως θα το προωθήσει στην κουζίνα.Μας έφεραν τον λογαριασμό χωρίς να μας πουν τίποτα σχετικά με τα σχόλια μας.

Κατά την άφιξη μας βρήκαμε ένα ωραίο περιβάλλον και το φαγητό σίγουρα μας ενθουσίασε. Μερικά από τα πιάτα που δοκίμασα ήταν ντάκο ,φάβα με γαύρο, απάκι με αυγά τα οποία ήταν 10/10.

Φαγητό μέτριο, αργή εξυπηρέτηση, πολύ ακριβό για αυτό που προσφέρει. Υπάρχουν στη γύρω περιοχή πολύ καλύτερα εστιατόρια.

Αρνητική κρητική δεν έχω βάλει ποτέ σε μαγαζί. Μετά απο 1 ώρα μας έφεραν την σαλάτα η οποία ήταν μέτρια. Μετά απο δύο ώρες μας έφερε το ένα κυρίως γεύμα, το 2ο το ακύρωσα και ζήτησα λογαριασμό. Φέρνοντας λογαριασμό μου είπαν ότι δεν χρέωσαν το 2ο πιάτο. Θα χρέωναν ένα πιάτο που δεν έφεραν μετά από 2 ώρες, το οποίο ήταν και μακαρόνια;;;; Αντιεπαγγελματική συμπεριφορά. Λυπάμαι πολύ!!!
