Although its history began in Piraeus in 1920, today the Vassilenas restaurant can be found right in the heart of Athens. In a modern, finely-decorated dining room, you can enjoy the cuisine of chef Garnelis, who takes you on a journey to the four corners of the country. Try the smoked eggplant mousse with exquisite tomato jam, tarama, tuna tartar with avocado. The sommelier offers over 170 labels, and the pastry chef masters the blueberry sorbet that accompanies the humble halva, a semolina-based cake.

Πρώτη φορά το επισκεφθηκαμε, πολύ καλό και γρήγορο σέρβις . Μέτριο περιβάλλον με αρκετή οχλαγωγία και με πολύ χαμηλή ένταση στη Μουσική. Το φαγητό ήταν πολύ κατώτερο των προσδοκιών μας και ειδικά σε ένα εστιατόριο τέτοιας φήμης.

Πολύ ωραίο περιβάλλον, εξυπηρέτηση και ατμόσφαιρα! Η εκδήλωση που παραβρέθηκα ήταν κοπή πίτας. Επιφυλάσσομαι να επιστρέψω με φίλους αλλά και πελάτες γιατί προσφέρεται ιδανικά και για business lunch/dinner.

Most probably the best greek cuisine restaurant in Athens at the moment and one of the best overall. Beautiful setting, even if the tables are a bit too close. The service is impeccable and their attention to the satisfaction of the client is unmatched. A bit pricey but worth it because of the high quality of the ingredients. Keep if for those special events!
