A historic hotel located in the city of Athens, frequented by many stars.

The emblematic hotel of Athens, created in 1874, symbol of a new capital which, after the war of independence, wanted to look like a bourgeois, modern and European city. It is a true institution, impeccable and grandiose in its 19th century style. The prices of this historic hotel defy all budgets. Stars and celebrities stop here. There's nothing to stop you from having a drink, a coffee or enjoying gourmet food on the rooftop, which offers a breathtaking view of the Acropolis, the Parliament and the Lycabet. Proper attire is required!

Piękny hotel w centrum Aten, doskonała lokalizacja - Akropol 15min. spacerem przez dzielnicę Plaka. Hotel w sąsiedztwie Ogrodu Narodowego i Pałacu Prezydenckiego.
Pokój z bardzo wygodnym i dużym łóżkiem ( dobry sen po zwiedzaniu), łazienka w pięknym stylu, z wanną i osobnym prysznicem.
Z dachu hotelowej restauracji widok na Akropol ????

Disclaimer: I did not stay at the hotel, the review is for all the employees that I’ve been in contact with.
Me and a coworker wanted to take a couple of pictures outside the entrance of the hotel, so when we went up the stairs a security guard tried to stop us for some reason from entering the building. I realised that in order to get to the concierge we had to tell him for what reason we were going in the hotel. So after he thought it was “OK” for us to be there, we asked for the contact of the PR person in order to get a permit (if needed) to take a picture outside the hotel, Which if you ask me is not much to ask. The man at the concierge was really rude, almost as rude as the security guard, and after he got the contact for us he said “maybe it wasn’t as easy as you thought it would be“ sarcastically.
So: No matter how old the hotel, no matter how “premium” it is: if your personnel is not trained, and is rude to its guests, i’m afraid it’s not THAT premium.
