This iconic bar is one of the most photographed in the Plaka district. The establishment, which has been operating since 1909, was the first distillery in Athens and the second in Europe. Popular with locals, the bar is currently known for its international cocktails and liqueurs originally produced by Mr. Brettos, the founder of the distillery. If you don't have time for a drink, at least consider bringing a bottle of the best Greek ouzo, still produced according to the old formula.
