AESCHYLIA FESTIVAL
A very famous annual festival, taking place in early September in Eleusis, which brings together artists from all artistic backgrounds.
Every year, the Summer Festival organized by the municipality of Elefsina (Eleusis) welcomes Greek artists from all artistic horizons: modern and ancient theater, music, art, cinema, documentary, dance... Most of the performances are held in the open air. It's an annual event not to be missed, and a high-quality cultural initiative that played a considerable role in the decision by the Council of the European Union to award Eleusis the title of European Capital of Culture for 2023.
