ILIAS LALAOUNIS JEWELLERY MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to Greek goldsmithing, exhibiting pieces, jewelry, micro-sculptures and works of art.
Founded in 1993 and located south of the Acropolis, the Museum, dedicated to the art of goldsmithing, houses the creations of Ilias Lalaounis, world-renowned goldsmith. The 4,500 pieces of jewellery, micro-sculptures and works of art show the evolution of Greek goldsmithing from 1940 to 2002. The designer's family home, dating from 1927, is attached to the main museum and houses the workshops where the young artists, during the visit, create the jewellery in public.
