Greek research center next to the Pnyx hill suitable for astronomical observations.

Established in 1842, it is the first Greek research centre. It is located opposite the Acropolis Hill and next to the Pnyx Hill, where Méton made the first astronomical observations of ancient Athens in the second half of the 5th century BC.
