HEBREW MUSEUM OF GREECE
Museum exhibiting art, religious objects, jewelry and documents of the history of the Jewish community.
The museum was founded in 1977 to bring together the objects belonging to the Jewish community that had been saved from the ravages of the Second World War, and more specifically, art objects, religious objects, jewellery and documents dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. Thus, through these collections, which are constantly being enriched by donations and meticulous research, the visitor can follow the history of the Jewish community, which has a history of over 2,300 years in Greece. As a centre of study, the museum also plays a very important cultural and educational role.
