NATIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM
Museum with collections of weapons, paintings, costumes and jewelry from the Greek period.
Flagship museum on the history of contemporary Greece since the fall of the Byzantine Empire. A beautiful light on the period of the War of Independence of 1821. You will see Lord Byron's coat of arms, paintings of modern Greece, costumes and jewellery from the period between 1453, the fall of Constantinople, and the Second World War. At the entrance of this building, which was the first Greek Parliament, stands the statue of Kolokotronis, a personality of the War of Independence.
