A true haven of peace in the heart of the city, this garden with its lush vegetation is ideal to recharge and relax.

The Royal Garden was designed in 1839 by the first Queen of Greece, Amalia, who wanted to turn it into the courtyard of the royal palace (now the courtyard of Parliament). Nearly 500 species of plants from all five continents can be found here. The park, with its well-kept paths, academic statues and majestic staircases, is emblematic of neoclassical public gardens. In the midst of lush vegetation, follow the signs: you'll reach the Zappeion woods via the main pedestrian road that runs along the back of the palace of the same name.

parc de 1- hectares comme un poumon vert au centre d' Athènes, beaucoup d' arbres, patios avec sculptures et mares, pas de fleurs, petit zoo qui peut attirer les enfants, halte reposante entre 2 visites de monuments

Très joli jardin !! Il fait bon s'y promener surtout lorsqu'il fait très chaud !! Cette promenade coupe un peu de l'agitation de la ville ! Je recommande sans hésiter !

Situé en plein milieu de la ville, on peut le considérer comme le "Central Park" d'Athènes. Les arbres sont très hauts en bien entretenus. Par contre ce n'est pas très grand, on fait assez vite le tour.
