PLACE FLISVOU
Corinth's central square, facing the port, adorned with a modern bronze statue of the winged horse Pegasus. Cafés, parking, museum..
Facing the harbor, this 2-hectare square (Πλατεία Φλοίσβου/Platia Flisvou) forms the center of Corinth. Dominated by a bronze statue of the winged horse Pegasus (2007), it is officially named in honor of the statesman Eleftherios Venizelos (1864-1936). But it's mostly named for the flisvos: the "sound of waves breaking on the shore". Here you'll find a pedestrian esplanade with cafés, a small park, a parking lot and a statue of Venizelos. To the southeast are the Museum of History and Folklore, a statue of Heracles and the marina.
