LAKE VOULIAGMENI
Saltwater lake on the Perachora peninsula, connected to the Gulf of Corinth. Sandy beach, cafés, restaurants and footpaths.
Located on the Perachora peninsula, this 1.5 km2 saltwater lake (Λίμνη Βουλιαγμένη/Limni Vouliagmeni) communicates with the Gulf of Corinth via a narrow, 6 m-wide channel to the south. Here you'll find a sandy beach to the northwest, the Ypanema café-restaurant complex to the southeast and hiking trails to the north, on the Klitsikas hill (269 m above sea level). This lake should not be confused with the small lake of the same name (meaning "sunken") at Vouliagmeni, in the chic suburb on Athens' southern coast.

Spend a day on the morning swim to the blue lake, noon lunch in a tavern " the eau" little nap and before sunset a visit in Heraion a charming little site calm with its small cove. If courage takes you between the blue lake and heraion, climb the left to the small St Nicolas chapel you will have a beautiful view of the gulf and heraion lighthouse
