Built in the century and twice converted into a mosque, it hosted the coronation of Greece's first king on January 15, 1833.

This cathedral (Ιερός Μητροπολιτικός Ναός Αγίου Γεωργίου/Ieros Mitropolitikos Naos Agiou Georgiou) dates back to the ^16th century and was twice converted into a mosque. Restored as an Orthodox church in 1822, it hosted the coronation of Otto of Bavaria as King of Greece on January 15, 1833. It houses the king's first throne and an ^18th-century fresco imitating the Last Supper, painted by da Vinci in Milan in 1498. Concerts on the square in summer during the Nafplio Festival.

We felt well cared for, the room was great, the seaside location a mixture of off the way quiet and central enough to be within walking distance from anywhere in old town. The discount for the adjacent restaurant cafe, the round the clock graceful and efficient service, complete the value for money profile of the hotel.

Εξαιρετικό ξενοδοχείο, σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία και με εξαιρετικό προσωπικό, πάντα χαμογελαστοί και πρόθυμοι να μας εξυπηρετήσουν. Το δωμάτιο που είχαμε επιλέξει ήταν άνετο για δυο άτομα και πεντακάθαρο. Το πρωινό ήταν καλό. Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!
