ARVANITIA PROMENADE
Pleasant 1 km coastal path between the old port and the small beach of Arvanitia, passing Cape Panagitsa.
Lined with prickly pear trees, this coastal path (Γύρος της Αρβανιτιάς/Gyros tis Arvanitias) runs for 1 km around the Nafplio peninsula, beneath the cliffs of the Acronauplia fortress, between the old port to the northwest and the small beach of Arvanitia to the south. The promenade owes its name to the Arvanites, Albanians from Greece who lived here in the 15th century. You'll pass the Valaora restaurant and yacht club, then Cape Panagitsa and its troglodyte chapel (1850). Shortly before the beach with its bar-restaurant, you pass under a tunnel dug into the rock.

Beautiful beach, very pleasant in the early morning when there is little world. But even during the hours of large crowds, you can swim without being on top of each other
