Folklore museum. Superb collection of costumes from the country's Greek communities, Bulgaria and Italy... Interesting store.

This folk museum (Μουσείο Β. Παπαντωνίου/Mousio V. Papantoniou) was founded in 1974 by the great scenographer and costume designer Ioanna Papantoniou (b. 1936). Located in the old shopping district of Gialou, it features a superb collection of costumes from the country's Greek communities, Bulgaria, Italy... The museum and its interesting store are part of a foundation that also manages the Museum of Childhood, in the former railway station.

The folk museum Vassilios Papantoniou in Nafplion, was created in 1974 by his daughter, famous Ioanna costumer and scenographer.
The museum of popular arts has a fine collection of traditional costumes directed according to the great moments of the social life (weddings, baptème, banquet) as well as furniture, which belonged to Naupliotes. The explanations are interesting.
