Old hotel keeping its period furniture in the simple rooms

In this old hotel opened in 1862, the rooms preserved their period furnishings. The bathrooms are common and the rooms are simple. But for archeology ferries, what is more delicious than saying that we sleep in the hotel that housed Schliemann, the archeologist who discovered Mycenes and Tirynthe. The hotel also hosts prestigious personalities such as Sartre, Mauriac, Malraux, Agatha Christie, Debussy, Faulkner, Sarah Bernhardt, Virginia Woolf, Léon Blum and the infamous Goebbels, Himmler and Goering.

nathdiver

A place for green with envy collectors of autographs and fans of history and literature... The famous visitors left yellowed drawings, short noticed and newspapers. Spartan, but charm and far, far from the beaten track and busloads of tourists criss-cross the region.
