KIANI AKTI
Islet measuring 1.6 , close to the port of Tolo (200 m). On site: medieval remains and pretty beach to the south, opposite another islet.
Access this 1.6 km2 islet (Ρόμβη) by windsurf, sea kayak, motorboat without a license, on a mini-cruise or even by swimming. Here you'll find the scattered remains of a basilica and medieval dwellings: Romvi served as a refuge during the Slavic invasions of the 6th-7th centuries. And on the hill to the south-east, at an altitude of 110 m, the ruins of a Byzantine fortress offer fine views over Tolo. A pretty pebble beach to the south, facing the islet of Daskalio (5.5 ha), home to an ancient Venetian fort and a 17th-century church.
